March 9: Telehealth Conference
Join us for an interactive telehealth video conference with the University of Florida Movement Disorder Clinic. Dr. Ramon Rodriguez or one of his staff members will present a current topic related to Parkinson Disease. Participants and the speaker can see each other via large flat screen monitors. There is an open question forum after the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
This event will feature the introduction of Dr. Amanda Thompson Avila, UF Sr. Movement Disorder Fellow. Dr. Avila plans to relocate to Lee County after completion of her fellowship.

Hope invites everyone to join us for the annual Hope Parkinson Program Symposium, March 17, 2012. This event provides the Southwest Florida Parkinson Community with a rare opportunity to access the vast knowledge of our distinguished panel, including: Dr. J. Eric Ahlskog, M.D., Mayo Clinic; Dr. Nima Mowzoon, M.D., Neurologist and Medical Director of the Hope Parkinson Program; a representative from the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Dr. Ahlskog, Chair of Movement Disorders at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, will present Debunking Ten Myths that May Sabotage Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Ahlskog is considered to be a leading authority on the topic of Parkinson’s and has over 20 years of experience treating people with the disorder.
Members of the Hope Parkinson Program will have the opportunity to meet the program’s new medical director, Dr. Nima Mowzoon and a representative from the Michael J. Fox Foundation will present the most recent research findings in the area of Parkinson’s disease. Everyone is invited to participate in a “Question and Answer” discussion - a unique chance for direct access to this esteemed panel of experts.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn at the corner of I-75 and Alico Road at 9931 Interstate Commerce Dr., Fort Myers, FL 33913. Tickets to the event are $10 per person. REGISTER ONLINE NOW
